Use the toilet and plan ahead before you begin your game.

Being "locked" in a room is kind of the whole game.  You will be in there for one hour, so prepare yourself. Basically, plan ahead for toilet, medicines, smoking, phone, etc. If you really do need to leave the room for any reason, you can use the emergency key located by the door. The clock will not stop, so only use it if you really need to do so.

Once your game begins, you will have 60 minutes to solve the puzzles that lead to your escape.

Look for clues and possible puzzle pieces. Remember, not everything is useful in your game. Don't forget to communicate your findings with your team members. Keep everything organized. There will be pencil and paper in the room for notes. Keep an eye on the monitor with the countdown clock. The clock will not reflect the 1-minute penalties incurred by asking for clues.

You can ask for help.

In your room you will find a button labeled "          "

Press it and a clue will be revealed on the

monitor with the countdown clock. Please only push the button once per clue request. You can request as many clues as you like but remember that each clue adds 1 minute to your overall time score. You will always have 60 minutes in the room but if you escape using too many clues, your final time may be well over one hour.

There are three levels of clues; hints, advice and the answer. Staff are observing your game via our security cameras so clues will be dispensed based on your progress. If you need all three clues to solve a given puzzle, the full 3-minute penalty will apply. If you only need any one of the three it will only cost you one minute.

No smoking.

This is a no smoking building and this most definitely applies to your game room. Fire is a real safety issue; take it seriously.

No cell phones, cameras or recording devices of any kind are allowed in the game rooms.

Please leave them in the locker provided. We encourage you to share your experience with friends and family but sharing too much ruins any potential fun they may have had when visiting EGF for themselves.

No food or drinks allowed in the game rooms.

You may bring bottled drinks and snacks into the waiting area, but please finish them or leave them in your locker.

Some things should not be touched.

Do not stand on anything.

We want you to be safe and have fun.  Please mind the no touch tape.

You will have line of sight for everything you need to touch.  Don't reach behind, under or in too deep.

Be careful. Glass objects are real. The electrical switches/sockets are real. Be wary if you find exposed wires.

You do not need to stand on anything.  Nothing over 2 meters is part of the game and should not be touched. As a point of reference, the top of the door is 2 meters so keep that in mind.

If you find a window, don't touch it.

Please don't break anything.

And, you shouldn't if you handle things reasonably. If you do break something, no worries, just buy us a new one. Just kidding…kind of. All our props and rooms are carefully designed and built to withstand the rigors of day-to-day use. Just remember push/pull but don't force, open but don't dismantle. Don't cut, break, tear, hit, throw, etc. If it truly is an accident we will assess the situation and make a decision that is fair. If you did actively break something, you’ll have to pay. We have cameras in all the rooms for everyone’s safety so we’ll just review the video to see what really happened.
